Our Approach

We build long-term, trusted relationships with clients and support them in making better financial decisions for the long-haul.

We look at your financial picture in detail, and from every angle. So, whether you want to raise, build, or protect your money, or to pass it on to the next generation, our focused financial advice comes from a well-rounded, 360-degree perspective with all bases covered.

Step 1: we meet with you to find out about your financial and personal goals, current financial situation, family situation, and attitude to investment risk.

Step 2: we develop a proposal tailored to your short, medium and long-term needs.

Step 3: we explain our findings and make our proposals. Note, in some cases, our recommendation may be to make no change, if that is what we think is the best course of action for you.

You are under no obligation after steps 1 to 3, covering the time we spend meeting with you, reviewing your situation, developing our recommendations and explaining them fully. Whether or not you take our advice is entirely your choice. We never put you under pressure or obligation, and any information you share with us is confidential. And if, during the course of our long-term relationship, your goals or circumstances change, and you want us to make new recommendations, we will repeat the process above - with no obligation.

When you take our advice and become a valued Brightside client, receiving our ongoing services and support, we will

  • discuss at the outset of our relationship, what you can expect from us and when
  • keep you informed, so you know how your money is being managed
  • be available to discuss specific concerns, or when a life event changes your plans
  • provide online access to your individual wealth account 24/7 via our website
  • ensure you are up to date with the latest economic news
  • undertake a regular review to check your plans still meet your needs
  • provide bulletins and e-briefings with topical financial news and features
  • invite you to our seminars and events

The value of an investment with St. James's Place will be directly linked to the performance of the funds you select and the value can therefore go down as well as up.  You may get back less than you invested.
